Registration

The conference registration fee (student and regular) includes admission to all sessions of the main conference, workshops and tutorials, access to on-line articles during the conference and on-line post proceedings after the conference, lunches, refreshments, poster sessions, the Welcome Reception and the Conference Banquet. The accompanee registration fee includes admission to the Welcome Reception and the Conference Banquet.

The Registration system is managed by Cankarjev Dom, Cultural and Congress Centre, Ljubljana, Slovenia.

* Graduate and PhD students can apply only with a valid student status at the time of the conference. A copy of the student status certificate should be uploaded in the registration system or sent by e-mail registration@cd-cc.si to the Conference Secretariat.

Please note that at least one author for each accepted conference paper must register within July 25th. This registration is seen as a commitment to present the paper at the conference. Failure to register within this deadline will result in the paper being excluded from the proceedings and the conference program.

In case you do not manage to register before, you can register at the conference venue, but please use this option only as a last resort. On-site registration payment can be done only with a credit card.

Terms and conditions

For cancellations of registration received on or before August 31, 2017 will be refunded in full except for the administrative fee of 50 EUR. No refunds will be given for cancellations received after August 31, 2017. Instead of cancelling, your registration may be transferred. The cancellation does not apply to authors/presenters at the conference. All cancellations or changes must be sent to Cankarjev dom on registration@cd-cc.si. The refunds will be processed only after the conference.

Citizens of the following countries are not required to have entry visa for the Republic of Macedonia:

EU member countries and signatories of the Schengen Agreement have the right to enter the Republic of Macedonia with a valid ID card.

Third countries with permanent stay in an EU member country or signatory country of the Schengen Agreement may stay in the Republic of Macedonia for up to 15 (fifteen) days upon every entry to the territory of the Republic of Macedonia, and the total amount of the subsequent stays in the Republic of Macedonia must not be longer than 3 (three) months within a six-months period, starting from the date of the first entry.

Third countries with multiple entry short stay Schengen visa type C valid at least 5 (five) days beyond the intended stay in the Republic of Macedonia may stay in the Republic of Macedonia for up to 15 (fifteen) days upon every entry to the territory of the Republic of Macedonia, and the total amount of the subsequent stays in the Republic of Macedonia must not be longer than 3 (three) months within a six-months period, starting from the date of the first entry.

Entry in the Republic of Macedonia for British, Canadian or American visa holders

Third countries with a valid British, Canadian or American visa with a validity period longer than 5 (five) days of the planned stay in the Republic of Macedonia may stay in the Republic of Macedonia for up to 15 (fifteen) days upon every entry to the territory of the Republic of Macedonia, and the total amount of the subsequent stays in the Republic of Macedonia must not be longer than 3 (three) months within a six-months period, starting from the date of the first entry.

Macedonian visas are issued only at diplomatic consular missions of the Republic of Macedonia abroad. We advice you to consult with the diplomatic consular missions of the Republic of Macedonia in your country regarding any question and concerns.

Short-Stay Visa for the Republic of Macedonia

Document needed for short-stay visa, up to 90 days (type C), i.e. transit visa (type B):

  • acknowledged travel document that is valid for at least 3 months beyond the intended stay of the foreigner in the Republic of Macedonia
  • documents for (individual or collective) travel insurance (policy issued by a legal insurance entity at the country of residence)
  • notarized warranty letter i.e., invitation by a Macedonian physical/legal person proof of possession of sufficient resources for the duration of the stay in RM (credit card/ bank statement)
  • photography (sized 3,5 x 4,5 cm) in colour on a white background where the face of the applicant is clearly visible
  • proof of paid fees for processing the visa application neatly and legibly filled out visa application

Skopje

Skopje is the capital of the Republic of Macedonia, the City that lies in the heart of the Balkan Peninsula, at the crossroad of important communications, a city with a 2000 years old tradition. Skopje is a modern city with population of almost one million and presents Macedonia’s major political, economical, educational and cultural center. It continues to be a focus for new residents, economic development, construction and refurbishment. Skopje urban area extends across the Skopje valley for approximately 30 kilometers (18.75 mi) in width and comprises 10 municipalities.
